Passageways, 2018

Passageways is a two-channel screen-dance installation consisting of video and moving images projected onto multiple surfaces: the wall, black and green rectangle panels leaning on the wall, and a holographic projection screen hanging from the ceiling.

Duration, 4:30min, sound, looping.

Passageways explore notions of sacredness and profanity as two modes of being in the world.

This work draws upon the embodied experience of hierophant, a term designating the manifestation of sacred. The screen-dance projection is traversing between five rituals, performative thresholds that convey a spiritual principle, and where two worlds are booth opposed and communicate with each other.
